Eucalyptus
A clear oil, with a strong, penetrating stimulating
fragrance. Well known for it's decongestant and anti-infectious
properties. Eucalyptus trees carry so much essential oil within
them, that they can often be seen shrouded in a blue haze. Smoked
by the Aborigines to treat asthma and bronchitis and burnt to
fumigate against fever.
Uses: Arthritis, bronchitis and coughs, colds and sinusitis,
congestion headaches, cuts, fever, flu, insect repellant (especially
silverfish and cockroaches), lice, muscular pains and rheumatism.
Methods: Bath (3 drops only), Massage and Skin oil, Vaporisation.
Cautions: Skin irritant - use in low dilution only. Not
suitable for young children. Keep away from homeopathic remedies.
NB Toxic if taken internally!
