Cypress
A yellowy-green oil with a sweet, smoky balsamic
fragrance. A good astringent with a sedative effect on the nervous
system. Traditionally used as an incense and for skin care. Long
represented grief, death and the underworld - cypress trees are
often found near cemeteries.
Uses: Acne, bruises, greasy skin, hair care, heavy periods,
muscular aches and pains, oedema, piles, poor circulation, rheumatism,
stress and varicose veins.
Methods: Bath, Massage, Skin Oil, Vaporisation.
Cautions: Avoid if pregnant or suffering from high blood
pressure.
