Athlete’s foot is not pleasant, either to look at or live with. It is an itchy, lumpy fungal infection and as it is normally on the sole of your feet it is hard to forget about once the itching starts! Difficult as it is, scratching should be avoided. Thankfully there are natural remedies using aromatherapy for athlete's foot.

Tea tree essential oil and eucalyptus oil are good to help fight fungus. If you would like to make your own powder to dust your shoes and massage into your feet try the following:

Place about 1/4 of a cup of cornflour into a sealable (zip up if possible) plastic bag, and then add 25 drops of tea tree or eucalyptus oil, 8 drops of clove oil and 8 drops of peppermint oil. Close the bag and massage the contents from outside of the bag, breaking up any clumps that may form.  Apply as needed to your feet.

Alternatively try blending 8 drops tea tree, 4 drops peppermint, 2 drops mountain savory into a carrier oil and apply directly to both feet after washing. Don’t forget in-between the toes! You should keep your feet and cool and dry as possible and apply in the morning and evening.
